Each year, thousands of Toastmasters compete in the International Speech and Table Topics contests. Competition begins with club contests and winners continue competing through the area, division and district levels. The International speech contest has two additional levels — semi-final and the World Championship of Public Speaking. Last year, Chris Woo was the first Toastmasters from Brunei, who entered the finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking.
This year, the contest season is finally here. Toastmasters Clubs in Brunei just held their International Speech and Table Topics contest few days ago.

On the 24th of February, Brunei Speakers’ Club held its International Speech and Table Topics Contest 2015 at SEAMEO VOTECH.

Table Topics Contest – Hazwan Kamarulzaman (1st Runner up), Reuben Chin (Winner), Gerald Goh (2nd Runner up)

Top two winners from each club will then proceed to the Area contest in March 8th, 1 pm at the Multi-Purpose Hall, UBD. The event is open to public and everyone is welcome to witness this exciting contest.
